Civil and Family Supreme Court Mediator
Hi, I’m Julia Bonnewitz, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Conflict is hard, whether it’s within a family, a business, or a civil matter, finding common ground can feel overwhelming. That’s where I come in. As a mediator, my goal is to help you navigate these challenges with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of human behavior and legal systems. After earning my degree in Psychology from Baylor University, I went on to get my Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law. That dual foundation has shaped how I approach mediation not just as a legal process, but as a human one.
Over the years, I’ve worked extensively in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. I’ve seen firsthand how easy it is for conflicts to escalate when people feel unheard or misunderstood. That’s why I take a structured yet empathetic approach. My job isn’t just to resolve the immediate issue, it’s to create a space where all parties feel respected, heard, and empowered to reach a fair and sustainable outcome.
- First, I listen. Really listen. Understanding your concerns, goals, and fears is the foundation of any resolution.
- Then, we work together to explore creative solutions, not just what’s legally sound, but what feels right for everyone involved.
- Finally, I help you establish a clear and sustainable path forward, one that reflects your values and priorities.
At Not Just Therapy, we do things differently.
I specialize in family mediation, business disputes, and civil conflicts, but at the core, it’s all about helping people find peace and resolution. Whether you’re navigating a complicated divorce, a business disagreement, or a personal conflict, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Mediation isn’t always easy, but it can be transformative. If you’re ready to have a different kind of conversation. One rooted in understanding and respect. I’d be honored to work with you.
With warmth,
Julia

What is a Mediator?
A mediator is a neutral third party who facilitates communication and negotiation between disputing parties to help them reach a mutually acceptable resolution.
